NOTE: The main lodge is a 5-8 minute walk from the cabins on a gravel road up and down a steep hill. People with mobility problems will need to rent a car to get to and from their cabin.
- Day One: You will be picked up by our private bi-lingual driver from the San Jose or Liberia International Airport. Travel by comfortable air conditioned mini-bus to Leaves and Lizards. (D)
- Day Two: Horseback ride (or by 4x4) to private waterfall. (BLD)
- Day Three: Canopy Tour (Zip lines), Eco Termales Hot Springs and Guided Night Hike to Base of the Arenal Volcano for a close up view of the lava flow. (B,D)
- Day Four: Horseback riding (or by 4x4) with our naturalist guide to hike in our private, primary rain forest. (B,L,D)
- Day Five: River Rafting the Balsa River Class II and III or the Toro Class III and IV. (B,L,D)

6 DAY COSTA RICA BIRD WATCHING PACKAGE

Lodging and meals as specified, daily transportation, tours and professional birdwatching naturalist guide. You will have the same guide for your entire trip. He will assure your trip is personalized to meet your special birding requests. Not included: tips and alcohol.

- Day Two: Guided bird watching tour to Primary Rain Forest Preserve, spend the late afternoon soaking in a hot spring and then enjoy a guided night hike to the base of the Arenal Volcano. This active volcano is sure to give you an exciting end to a day of spotting exotic tropical birds and wildlife. (B,L,D)
- Day Three: Juan Castro Blanco Cloud Forest. Experience the birds of this nearby cloud forest preserve noted for quetzels and three wattled bell birds. (B,L,D)
- Day Four: Guided boat tour in the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge area. Millions of birds migrate to the Cano Negro area each year to nest and breed. It is home to hundreds of species of birds. (B,L,D)
- Day Five: Tour of your choice: Bird watching, river rafting, canopy tour, rappelling, or horseback riding. (Meals, transportation and tours for this day not included in Package Price)

Our tours are private with personalized service. Our horses are not trail weary, but are Costa Rican working horses. This tour is part of our rural tourism project and your guides are authentic Costa Rican ranchers.
