Biodiversity Study at Leaves and Lizards When we bought the property to build Leaves and Lizards Arenal Volcano Cabin Retreat it was a dairy farm, the land had been deforested and divided into 30 pastures. Since we purchased the property in 2006, we have planted over 3000 trees. Protecting our springs and restoring the rain forest is one of our top priorities. Dr. Marcy Brown-Marsden and students from the University of Dallas are conducting a yearly biodiversity study at Leaves and Lizards to measure the progress of our restoration. |
